Hi, I’m Mirsada, a dedicated mother of three and a passionate reading tutor with a mission to help young learners thrive.
Watching my own kids learn to read has taught me that every child’s journey is unique—my youngest, now 4, is just beginning to sound out and blend three-letter words, while my older two reached their milestones at their own pace. These experiences have inspired me to create a nurturing, individualized approach for every child I work with.
I hold a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Elementary Education from Northeastern Illinois University and am a K-3 Structured Literacy certified.
With over eight years of teaching experience both in-person and online—including a year of preservice teacher training in Chicago Public Schools—I specialize in using evidence-based methods to help students succeed. Just in the past year, I’ve had the privilege of helping more than 50 students improve their reading skills and grow their confidence.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my kids, organizing playdates, exploring Chicago, and visiting local libraries. Creating hands-on activities and turning everyday moments into learning opportunities are some of my favorite ways to keep learning fun.
As both an educator and a mom, I understand the importance of fostering a supportive, positive environment to help children thrive.
Let’s work together to empower your child with the skills and confidence they need to succeed on their reading journey!
